Large white tents stand on the shores of Situ Patenggang. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom, and some feature unique boat-shaped beds. A night's stay typically costs around one to two million rupiah, depending on the day of your stay and the tent you choose.

If you plan to stay overnight, don't forget to bring warm clothes. Daytime temperatures around Situ Patenggang are about 25°C, but they can drop to around 12°C at night. 

The glamping site is far from shops and restaurants, making it peaceful and quiet at night. It's the perfect place to unwind while enjoying the views of Situ Patenggang and the Rancabali tea plantation. Of course, it's also ideal for a large group of family and friends, where you can gather around a bonfire and enjoy a barbecue in the evening. 

Many photographers visit Situ Patenggang to capture its beautiful sunrise. By staying overnight at Glamping Lakeside, you'll have the opportunity to witness it yourself.

You don't have to stay overnight to enjoy Glamping Lakeside Rancabali. Simply pay the entrance fee at the gate, then purchase tickets for any attractions you want to visit.

After passing the ticket booth, you'll drive along the roads through the Rancabali tea plantation, where the air is fresh and pleasantly cool. You probably won't even need to turn on your car's AC!

At the end of the road, you'll reach the shores of Situ Patenggang, where Phinisi Resto, a large wooden ship, sits atop a hill surrounded by tea bushes. To enter the restaurant, you'll cross a wooden rope bridge, adding to the feeling of boarding a ship. You'll also see white glamping tents along the shores of Situ Patenggang.

Phinisi Resto serves Sundanese dishes and traditional snacks, such as fried bananas. The food is average in terms of taste. Because of the cool weather, the restaurant doesn't serve cold drinks or provide ice, not even ice cubes. If you're craving a hot dog, you can buy one from the food trucks near the bridge.

That said, while the food may not be to everyone's liking, the view from the deck is absolutely breathtaking and offers endless photo opportunities. If you're lucky, you may get a table on the deck with an unobstructed view of Situ Patenggang. The only downside is that you'll get drenched if it suddenly rains. :)

Glamping Lakeside Bandung offers more than just glamping and Phinisi Resto. There are plenty of other attractions to explore. One of them is beneath Phinisi Resto. Walk down the stairs to the lakeshore, where you'll find Batu Cinta (Love Stone). Batu Cinta is a famous landmark at Situ Patenggang and is closely associated with a local romantic legend. When I first saw Batu Cinta, I was disappointed because it looked like nothing more than a stone wall with a brief description of the legend. I even wondered whether the huge moss-covered rock beside it was the real Batu Cinta. 

You can hire a boat here to cruise around the lake or cross to the original entrance to Situ Patenggang. Although both attractions share the same lake, they are managed separately. If you cross to the other side, you'll need to pay the entrance fee for the Situ Patenggang tourist area. The same applies if you arrive at Glamping Lakeside Rancabali by boat from Situ Patenggang, unless you've purchased a package that includes admission to both attractions.

Another unique place to relax at Glamping Lakeside Rancabali is the floating tents. The tents float on the lake with the help of empty plastic barrels underneath, creating a fun and unusual experience.

The floating tents are safe because the lake is calm and has almost no waves. Of course, you should still be careful and keep an eye on your children. There are no fences along the edges, so make sure you don't tumble into the lake!

In the middle of the floating tents is a small coffee stand where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the beautiful views of Situ Patenggang and watching boats pass by. Don't forget to bring your camera and capture the memories!

Beyond Glamping Lakeside Rancabali, the Rancabali tea plantation is also home to the Rengganis Suspension Bridge and Crater. The Rengganis Crater features natural hot spring pools where you can soak and relax. Nearby, the Rengganis Suspension Bridge stretches 370 meters and stands 75 meters above the ground.

Glamping Lakeside Rancabali is located on the opposite shore of Situ Patenggang. Although they share the same lake and scenery, Glamping Lakeside Rancabali and the Situ Patenggang tourist area have separate entrances. The resort's coordinates are 7°10'01.0"S 107°21'14.4"E. It is about 50 kilometers from Alun-Alun (downtown) Bandung. Although the first part of the journey follows the Soroja Toll Road, the last 30 kilometers wind through narrow mountain roads. As a result, the drive takes at least two hours.

The entrance to the resort is located between Kawah Putih (White Crater) and Situ Patenggang (also spelled Situ Patengan). It's easy to spot thanks to the large billboard on the right-hand side of the road. After turning right, you'll arrive at a row of ticket booths leading into the beautiful Rancabali tea plantation. From the entrance gate, it's another 5 kilometers to Phinisi Resto.

There is no public transportation directly to Phinisi Resto. Renting a car with a driver is the most convenient and time-saving way to visit Ciwidey on a day trip. Alternatively, you can use a ride-hailing service such as GoJek or Grab, but remember to arrange for the driver to wait or return to pick you up. Unless you plan to stay overnight at Glamping Lakeside Rancabali, transportation can be difficult to find in the area.

Suggested Day Trips to Glamping Lakeside Rancabali

Exploring Glamping Lakeside Rancabali typically takes about two to three hours. To make the most of your trip, I'd recommend combining it with nearby attractions.

One option is to start with a morning visit to Kawah Putih (White Crater), followed by lunch at Phinisi Resto while enjoying the breathtaking views of Situ Patenggang, before returning to Bandung.

Alternatively, you can spend the entire day exploring the Rancabali tea plantation area. First, buy the VIP package, which includes admission to Glamping Lakeside Rancabali and its activities, as well as tickets to the Rengganis Suspension Bridge and Crater. Start with a visit to the Rengganis Suspension Bridge and Crater, then take a break at Kinara Restaurant, which is located in the same area. Then continue to Glamping Lakeside to enjoy the views of Situ Patenggang from Phinisi Resto and the floating tents. You can either extend your trip by staying overnight at Glamping Lakeside or head back to Bandung.
